Wanda Anderson, Executive Director, Leaves the Mackenzie Valley Land and Water Board

Wanda Anderson has left her position as Executive Director of the Mackenzie Valley Land and Water Board (MVLWB).
Ms. Anderson was an employee of the Mackenzie Valley Land and Water Working Group in 1998 before the Government of Canada established the MVLWB to regulate permitting and licencing in the NWT. Ms. Anderson initially served as Manager of Finances and Administration.
In May 2007, Ms. Anderson accepted the position of Executive Director. She helped guide the MVLWB’s growth as it completed its first decade of operation which included preparation for the possible implementation of the Mackenzie Gas Project. Ms. Anderson helped in establishing the MVLWB staff working groups in an attempt to streamline the Board’s regulatory processes.
The Board thanks Wanda for her dedication and hard work over the years and wishes her success in her future endeavours.
Manik Duggar, Senior Policy and Communications Advisor, has been appointed as the Acting Executive Director in the interim.
