Applicants for Land Use Permits and Water Licences are encouraged to be familiar with the Acts and Regulations that govern the use of land and water, and the deposit of waste in the Mackenzie Valley . These pieces of legislation provide the authority for actions by the Mackenzie Valley Land and Water Board.
Additional guidance for applicants is provided in the Board's Rules and Policies, and in Policy Direction which is provided to the Board by the Minister of Indian and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC). These guidance documents are all available on this web site.
