Mackenzie Valley Land and Water Board - Public Registry

Borealis GeoPower proposes to drill two wells approximately 1.5 km southeast of the hamlet of Fort Liard, NWT. The well location is L-55, located in the Grid Area 60° 20’ N, 123° 40’ W. The production well centre is 60° 14’ 36.21’’ N, 123° 26’ 02.47’’ W and is expected to be ~4,320m deep; the injection well centre is 60° 14’ 37.38’’ N, 123° 26’ 01.29’’ W and is expected to be ~1,500m deep.  If successful, Borealis further proposes to operate a geothermal power plant on the site.
